My new corset, done with a Laughing moon pattern.
several hours of work, suffering. and blood (my poor, poor fingers...)
I quite like the result, thought I'm a bit disappointed by the chest. I was expecting it would make the best advantage of this part of my body
I don't know if I will do another corset, it's so much work. I'll leave myself some time to think about it.
Bon ben, voilà, mon nouveau corset, fait à partir d'un patron Laughing Moon.
cette petite chose représente des heures de boulot et de souffrance. et de sang aussi (ouille mes pauvres doigts).
Je suis assez satisfaite du résultat, même si je suis un peu déçue des goussets à la poitrine. j'aurais aimé qu'ils mettent mieux en valeur cette partie de mon individu
Je ne sais pas si je ferais un jour un autre corset, c'est tellement de boulot. je me laisse un peu de temps pour réfléchir.

Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactNice looking corset overall, and I love the colour! The problem you mention with the chest is why it's important to have someone fit you properly and make muslins or toiles. It is almost impossible to fit yourself adequately. A dressmaker's dummy just doesn't work for something that has to fit as well as a corset.
BTW: if you get blood on fabric as you are working, the best remover is your own saliva! Sounds gross, but put spit onto a piece of cloth (colourproof!) and blot the stain. Comes out like magic as long as you get to it right away!
